Engineering – Science and technology

Acoustics and Digital Signal Processing (DSP)

These are two independent courses but they can be related. The first, on acoustics, provides a complete introduction to the bases and principles that govern acoustics, as a science that studies the phenomena of sound. The second course (DSP) provides an introduction to the fundamentals of digital signal processing, including analysis, manipulation and synthesis.
Many of the examples will be using acoustic signals for digital processing.

Data Analysis and Machine Learning

This course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge required for effective data analysis and the application of machine learning techniques. The course covers a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from exploratory data analysis to advanced machine learning algorithms, with a focus on practical applications.

Python programming

This course serves as a comprehensive introduction to Python programming, covering essential concepts and practical skills for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in the language. Python’s versatility and readability make it an excellent choice for beginners and experienced developers alike.

Research project

This course is designed for individuals seeking to develop and enhance their skills in planning, executing, and presenting a research project. Whether in academia, industry, or any other field requiring research, this course guides participants through the entire research process, from formulating a research question to presenting findings.

Music – Sound Technology – Electroacoustics – Performance

Musical acoustics and Organology

This specialized course offers a deep exploration into two interconnected fields: musical acoustics and organology. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the scientific principles underlying the production of sound in musical instruments and the cultural and historical context of instrument design and classification.

Musical Composition and Pure-Data

This course is divided into two. On the one hand, a traditional study of musical composition is offered, applying some contemporary composition techniques and free forms for musical creation. On the other hand, for those interested in a visual programming language for creative musical expression, an introduction to musical composition is offered through Pure Data (Pd). Participants will explore the art of composition while gaining hands-on experience using Pure Data as a powerful tool for real-time synthesis, processing, and interactive music creation.

Recorder and piano

These specialized courses are aimed at musicians interested in learning or perfecting their skills in the performance of recorder and piano as a complementary instrument or as an instrumental resource for musical accompaniment or composition.

Musical theory

This course is designed for musicians and music enthusiasts who wish to deepen their understanding of musical theory beyond the basics. Participants will explore advanced concepts in music theory and develop analytical skills to critically examine and appreciate diverse musical compositions.

Other courses to develop your soft and hard skills in different areas: problem solving, communication, time management, critical thinking, conflict management, data presentation, data representation, and project management.
